Okay...here is a track from a duo that instantly struck me as a band to know. 18+ created a song called 'Crow' where as a person who has a list of many words to describe..well anything. I simply have been struggling to find the exact words that are not sudden moans and noises to give a clear glimpse into this track. Seductive is not a good enough term to accurately portray what 'Crow' is capable of opening up within you. By having a loop recording of a crow cawing, both members of 18+ gives us dialogue that leaves our mouths dry and wet without having so much as a few minimal beats playing idly in the background.
Yet so sad, yet reassuring that originality exists... only in the most unknown places. How did I come across this duo, that I can not recall. All I know was that once the track started to play out, a sort of rabbit hole journey commenced and the party stopped as my mind spun into an underground of suspicious activity.
What makes this track such a quality investment in Hip-Hop? Hip-Hop has and always will have the advantage of breaking new territory by showing the world something new can be conceived from nothing. Hip-Hop has a raw transformation that can easily be skipped because people do not have the attention span. But when a moment of your time can be consumed by a track like 'Crow' you'll go to any length to research what album, tour dates or any unreleased material.
This darkwave of poetry laced adrenaline of words; equally creates an experimental view of what sounds can be used to push across a feeling that can promote sexual need and seedy thoughts that gives way to our own thought out perversions.
